Storytelling & Documentary Photography
Hi, my name is
Cheyenne!
Here's a little bit
about me
Born and raised in Upstate New York, I relocated to Washington after college to further my career in photojournalism. Capturing the essence of life and the stories of people through my lens has always been my passion. With over 6 years of professional experience, I’ve developed a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of visual storytelling. My career has allowed me to document a wide array of people and places around the world, and I want to continue bringing stories to life through my work.

FAQ
What types of photography services do you offer?
I specialize in capturing beautiful moments for couples, families, and elopements, but I love working with all kinds of clients! Whether you're celebrating your love, creating family memories, or starting a new chapter with a senior or maternity session, I'm here to document it all. My goal is to make every session feel personal, meaningful, and fun—no matter the occasion!
How far in advance should I book my session?
To ensure availability, it’s a good idea to book your session at least 3-4 weeks in advance. For peak seasons (like holidays or spring), booking earlier is recommended. However, feel free to reach out even if you're last-minute—I'll always do my best to accommodate you!
How long will it take to get my photos after the shoot?
Typically, you’ll receive your edited photos within 1-2 weeks, depending on the type of session. I always put in extra care to ensure every image is perfectly edited, so it’s worth the wait! I’ll keep you updated throughout the process and provide a sneak peek within 24 hours of your session.
Can I request specific poses or locations for my session?
Definitely! I want your session to feel personalized, so feel free to share any ideas or locations that inspire you. Whether you have a list of poses you love or a special location in mind, I’ll work with you to bring your vision to life. Let’s make this experience as fun and unique as you are!
What should I wear for my photoshoot?
It’s best to wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident! Solid colors or subtle patterns work well, as they don’t distract from you! Avoid clothes with large logos, busy patterns or overly bright colors that can take attention away from you. If you’re unsure, feel free to bring a couple of options, and we can decide together!
What happens if it rains on the day of our outdoor session?
No worries! I always keep an eye on the weather, and if rain is in the forecast, we’ll have a backup plan ready. We can either move the shoot indoors, reschedule to another day or just go out and capture beautiful photos in the rain! Your comfort and the quality of your photos are my top priorities, so we’ll make it work, rain or shine!
What happens if I need to reschedule my session?
Life happens! If you need to reschedule, just let me know at least 48 hours in advance, and we’ll find another time that works for you. If something urgent comes up last minute, I’ll do my best to accommodate. Please note that a rescheduling fee may apply for cancellations with less notice.
